Baddle for Better- Communities in Schools: Chesterfield, VA

In case you haven’t heard, the Baddle for Better initiative is extremely important to us, and we’re excited that the word is spreading! We love receiving everyone’s emails on how we at Baddle can partner with the pickleball community for the greater good.  

 

Recently Baddle partnered with Communities in Schools (CIS) to sponsor a pickleball event in Chesterfield, Virgina. CIS is a non-profit organization that is focused on helping the local community of Chesterfield. For 28 years, CIS has devoted its energy to passionately advocating for Chesterfield County students and families in need. They strive to surround students with a community of support by empowering them to stay in school and achieve their life goals. CIS currently works inside eleven K-12 schools and serve almost 11,000 high-need students.

More specifically, their efforts focus on students burdened by the challenges of poverty, trauma, and other stressors. By connecting with CIS, we were able to donate items to their inaugural ALL IN FOR KIDS Pickleball Tournament.

 Baddle donated paddles, balls, and athletic clothing as raffle prizes for this event where we were told they raised over $5500! Our friends at CIS told us the Baddle donations were very popular amongst the players!

 This is just another way that Baddle can help give back to communities and how pickleball can be a surprising, yet amazing way in which people are brought together for a good cause.
