Sawyer Point Pickleball Courts
If you haven’t heard by now, pickleball has become the fastest-growing sport in the U.S. It’s all anyone can seem to talk about! Almost every month it seems we are hearing about new venues popping up across the country or former tennis courts being converted into ones for pickleball. This is an exciting time for the pickleball community, and we love hearing about these stories of the growing demand of the sport being met and new players being drawn to the game.
Recently in Baddle’s home city of Cincinnati, Ohio we were honored to attend the grand opening and unveiling of the newly renovated pickleball courts located at Sawyer Point Park.
We, along with many community members, city leaders, park officials, the City Mayor, Aftab Pureval and the president of the Pickleball at Sawyer Point organization, Gary Lessis, went out to be a part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebrated this endeavor!
The renovations of these courts include a “2-layer cushioned surface, LED lights, an AED courtesy of the REALTORS® With Heart, A Committee of the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati and a professional sound system” according to Cincinnati Parks. With these upgrades, pickleball enthusiasts and players can experience pickleball in the most fun and safe way possible!
Baddle had the opportunity to go and support our local pickleball community during this celebration and share our passion! We partnered with Pickleball at Sawyer Point to supply several demo paddles, so that anyone who comes to the courts will have a chance to play and experience the game of pickleball even if they don’t have their own paddle. We have many plans in store to continue helping the Sawyer Point community, as well as other pickleball communities. Stay tuned!
