Venise embarked on her first pickleball pro debut as she competed in last week’s 90K LA Takeya Showcase. She won her first singles match as a pickleball pro against former tennis pro Lina Padegimaite 11-6,11-8 to advance into the Top 6 before losing 9-11,10-12 to the US Open 2021 Champion Irina Tereschenko.
In the women’s pro doubles event, she partnered with former US Open Champion Sarah Ansboury. But unfortunately, they fell short against Christine McGrath and Annica Cooper. 4-11 and 6-11.
In the mixed pro doubles, Venise partnered with Kasey McMakin playing against strong team talents Anna Leigh Waters and Tyson Mcguffin at the Championship Court. Anna and Tyson advanced to the next round with a 11-0,11-1 score.
Venise is delighted to see Hong Kong fans coming to support her at the venues. She is now on her way to Denver for the 2021 Rocky Mountains tournament.
