Paddle Care Guide
Every Baddle pickleball paddle includes a protective cover, but there are other things to keep in mind when it comes to paddle protection and care.
Wipe it down. Find a towel to throw in your bag. After every match, wipe your paddle down. Be sure to clean the grip, too. You can use a mild glass cleaner or simply damp the towel with water.
Mind the bag. Speaking of what’s in your pickleball bag, watch out for keys or other objects that could scratch your paddle.
Stick with high fiving. As tempting as it is to hit paddles with your partner after a game-winning hit, it can affect your paddle over time.
Bring it in. Extreme weather can affect your pickleball paddle. Especially the cold. So we recommend storing your paddles indoors, rather than in your garage or trunk.
Paddles are for pickleball. Our EdgeProtect Tech helps minimize paddle damage from the normal wear and tear of play. But don’t use your paddle to scrape up pickleballs from the court. This will cause your paddle to wear much quicker than it should.
Beware of feet. When you’re not playing, keep your paddle off the ground if you can. Opt for a bench or locker to avoid any accidental steps on it.
Life happens. No one is immune to accidents and mistakes. Don’t worry if your paddle does get damaged. You may be able to repair it. Talk to your local shop or drop us a note. And if it can’t be fixed, well, best to look at it as an opportunity to try a new one.
